22-year-old Brisbane model Chantal Monaghan has been a rising star ever since her appearance on The Face, and now Ralph Lauren is putting up a huge billboard of her in Paris.
When Monaghan first moved to New York three years ago, one of her first gigs was a small job for Ralph Lauren. This year, she was only meant to shoot the holiday campaign but they loved her so much, she landed the Fall/Winter 2019 campaign too.
“I got a call from my agent saying …. ‘on Sunday you’re going to shoot Ralph. They just saw your photo and picked you. They loved it’,” Monaghan said.
“I’ve had big posters and billboards in Australia and America and in stores but to have one in Paris on the side of a building is exciting.”
In 2014, Monaghan appeared on model search reality TV series The Face and was mentored by legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell.
She has also had contracts with Chic Management in New York and worked all over the globe for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren and L’oreal. Victoria’s Secret even invited her to castings for the show last year.
The model plans to come home for Christmas for modelling work in Sydney before going back to Paris in January for Jean-Paul Gaultier and of course – take a photo with her billboard-sized self.
